Investing in the Future: Internship Programs for Aspiring Professionals
We believe in fostering the next generation of ethical and responsible accountants. We are committed to social responsibility by actively participating in a variety of internship programs, providing students with valuable practical experience and guidance as they embark on their accounting careers. These programs are designed to:
-
Bridge the gap between education and practice : We recognize the value of theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms, but also understand the importance of applying that knowledge in real-world scenarios. Our internship programs offer students the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on meaningful projects, gaining a deeper understanding of the accounting profession and the critical role it plays in the financial ecosystem.
-
Develop future leaders with strong ethics : Our firm culture emphasizes ethical conduct and professional integrity. Through mentorship and on-the-job training, we instill these values in interns, shaping them into responsible future accountants who will uphold the highest standards.
-
Promote diversity and inclusion : We actively participate in programs that reach students from diverse backgrounds, including university students and higher diploma students exploring career options. These programs help diversify the talent pool in the accounting profession, creating a more inclusive and representative workforce.
Here's a glimpse into some of the specific internship/training programs we participate in:
-
University Internship Programs : Partnerships with universities allow us to mentor and train the next generation of accounting professionals.
-
Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (“HKICPA”) – Experiential Business Learning Programme : This collaborative program provides students with practical experience alongside specialized 2-day workshop trainings by the HKICPA, enhancing their skillset.
-
The Society of Chinese Accountants & Auditors (“SCAA”) and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education – Work-integrated Learning Programme : This joint program bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application for higher diploma students.
-
Youth Employment and Training Programme (“YETP”) organized by the Labour Department – During the on-the-job training period, we provide appropriate guidance for the trainee at work, while YELP may reimburse trainee for relevant courses or examinations. The one-month Workplace Attachment Training offers a hands-on immersion into our daily operations, equipping trainee with valuable insights to shape their career goals.
Through these programs, we contribute to building a more informed and skilled accounting workforce. We believe in empowering the next generation to uphold the highest ethical standards and contribute to a more transparent and accountable business environment.
